Humans - Values - Truths

A better life through higher values?

Judgment, the condemnation of people is as old as humanity. In the first known city in Mesopotamia values were defined very early and laws were enacted that enabled the coexistence of people in the smallest of spaces.

Is one allowed to say that?

Do people have not enough values in them to support a sustainable coexistence?

In the Middle Ages, convicts were pilloried. It was believed that making the punishment public, should have an effect. The effect on the condemned not to do it again and an affect on the gawking mass:
'Look, if you behave like that, the same thing will happen to you ..'

The methods have been refined these days - 'we're just exposing somebody', 'just publishing weaknesses'.

Can and must values be constantly redefined?
Can and should values be questioned?

Friedrich Schiller wrote in his ballad "The Ring of Polycrates":
"Unprecedented joy was not granted to any earthly".

Most of us can only agree with this statement - so nothing has changed since then?

Long, long before, an 'enlightened one' wrote:

  • Human life is subject to suffering.
  • Birth, old age, illness and death are suffering.
  • Desire, attachment and clinging is suffering.
  • Ignorance is a suffering because you can not recognize the truth of life.
  • Grief, anger, jealousy, worry, restlessness, fear and despair are suffering.
  • Being separated from those you love is suffering.
  • Being united with those you hate is suffering.
  • The desire for personal selfish lust is a suffering.
Suffering will cease when all these desires are overcome.
Understanding the truth of life removes sorrow and suffering
Peace and joy can grow.

There is a big country on our earth, which in its flag indicates this human potential:
Spiritual knowledge
moral values
Spiritual wisdom
fear of God
Trust / faith

This statement is made:
If a person has many of these values, he can deal better with many ailments! Has a person ever managed to practice all these values?

As the ancient writings still present prove, for more than 4000 years most of the earth's people had to be taught early on commandments:
  • Protection of all life
  • Not to murder
  • Not to steal
  • Not to give a false testimony
  • Not to rob
  • No adultery
  • Not to rape
  • Not to lie
Commandments do not do something, but commandments can do something positive:
Charity, compassion, joy and equanimity.
Life, with as little suffering as possible.

Many wise men and many religions have made the statement:
Life does not begin with birth and does not end with death.
There are no coincidences, no trivialities. Man changes cause and effect.

In some religions people are told that their present life has been changed by their behavior in the past life.
Everything he has done or omitted determines his present and future.
Can man change the consequences of the past through conscious action in the present?

Our future is determined by the present, our present by the past!

A saying of a wise man:
"All things exist because they depend on each other.
All things cease to exist because they mutually depend on each other.
This is because that is. This is not because that is not.
This is because that was born. This dies because that dies.
That's the wonderful law of arising in dependence.
In truth, there is nothing that is separate, independent and eternal.
There is no self, neither a higher nor a lower self.
An important task is the overcoming of ignorance, of mental obstacles.
If we do that, we are no longer bound to delusion, fear, anger or desire.
Then we recognize the nature of life and the cosmos.
We are free people; People full of peace and joy, full of love and understanding."

Do people want, can people live these values?

A look to Germany: At the beginning of the age of enlightenment lived the philosopher Gottfried Wilhelm Freiherr von Leibniz, who managed to set up a scientific academy in Berlin. Later, Immanuel Kant in 1786 was appointed a member of this Berlin Academy of Sciences. Both published their ideas of values and human behavior have significantly changed numerous cultures. Leibniz once said:
"Our ultimate purpose is bliss, but the only suitable means for this purpose is virtue and education."

Again, it is expressed that the acquisition of knowledge can bring a happier life.
Also the statement of Leibniz:
"The more we act reasonably, the more we become freer. The more we allow ourselves to be governed by the passions the worse is our stage of liberty. The application of our human will ultimately determines freedom or servitude."

Often a dose of courage is needed to leave old paths, to implement new ideas.
Kant said:
"Have the courage to use your own brain!" - Sapere Aude!
and explains in his writing in 1784
'What is Enlightenment'
"Enlightenment is man's leaving his self-caused immaturity. Immaturity is the incapacity to use one's intelligence without the guidance of another. Such immaturity is self-caused if it is not caused by lack of intelligence, but by lack of determination and courage to use one's intelligence without being guided by another."

Does not this statement fit perfectly with our society today?
The media convince us what is 'in' and what we should throw away.
The fashion industry tries to convince us again and again, what 'you' just need to wear and what is 'out'.
The desire to show it to the neighbors is more and more stimulated by many industries marketing companies.

Yet people could take this quote from Kant to their hearts:
"One does not become rich through what one owns, but more through what one does with dignity without owning it."
It could be that humanity becomes richer by becoming poorer and wins by losing."

Kant knew about people and their many imaginations, and wrote 240 years ago:
"The almost weightless pigeon, by dividing the air in the sky, feeling the resistance, still could conceive that she would succeed even better in a vacuum."

Should we allow ourselves to try it out?

America schools offer environmental education, but many do not believe in man-made changes - - In Great Britain England people see the changes happening to their country, but there are only a few who explain how earth works - - Canada is a country full of potential. With a good education system, but conservation education is still missing. We need more help of the local people to keep Canada beautiful

Spain offers little to inform people how to keep earth beautiful - - flag of Mexico waiving - - flag of Argentina with the sun in the middle, Sun of May representation of the Inca sun god Inti

Indonesia cuts down a lot of trees. Missing nature conservation education leads to deforestation, water contamination, erosion problems because of deforestation, endangering marine life and humans. We need the help of the Indonesian people to keep Indonesia beautiful - - - China has a growing population, more energy, more food, keeping china beautiful is low on the to do list - - - India is a country full of potential. With a better education system and less corruption India could become number 1 in Asia. We need the help of the local people to keep India beautiful - - - German schools offer conservation education, but a lot of people are too busy to learn new things, do not think about to keep Germany beautiful
keep Singapore beautiful showing the flag - - Keep the Philippines beautiful flag - - Keep Malaysia beautiful showing the flag - - Thailand flag to keep Thailand beautiful

Where will we go when Earth is out of balance?

Keep Earth's Nature intact is essential when we recognize that humans are part of Nature!

We can help you to learn the different qualities of Nature - all of them helpful for our existence.
How can humans live unison with Mother Earth?
It is proven that healthy humans can only be born on a healthy Earth!

We want to give many humans a real desire for true sustainability.
Work with us to implement systems that are NOT taking away quality of life, or survival from future generations!

It would be so easy:
When we duplicate the success of Earth's natural ecosystems we can secure the future of humans on Earth!
We care for humans, so we need to care for our Earth! We express this task with our motto Keep Earth beautiful

Learn about the wonders of Earth!
Albert Einstein once said:
