China's long rivers

important for all humans

Many people get their drinking water out of rivers.
Where will we go when our drinking water is not drinkable anymore?

Water is essential for life on Earth!
It is proven that healthy humans can only be born on a healthy Earth!

  • Yangtze River is over 6300 km long - the largest and longest river in China and in whole Asia. Compared to the longest rivers on Earth the Yangtze is no 3.
The Tuotuo River on the southwestern side of the snow-draped Geladandong becomes the Yangtze and is flowing from west to east through 9 provinces and city of Shanghai. Its delta is located in the East China Sea. Beautiful nature and historical sites attract many tourists.

  • Yellow River is has a length of 5464 km, the second longest river of China. The Kariqu Stream on the northern side of Bayan Har Mountans in Qinghai-Tibet Plateau is the beginning. It flows from west to east and ends its journey at the Bohai Sea. River were always good for early humans to settle. Along the riverbed of the Yellow River the beginning of the Chinese civilization started. The Wei valley cuts across the long Ordos loop, was the most prosperous region in early Chinese history. The Yellow River takes a lot of sand and soil and has one of the highest sediment concentration of all rivers on Earth.
  • Heilongjiang River or Sahaliyan Ula in Manchu got its name from the look it sometimes has: black water. Nowadays it is a border river between the Russian Far East and Northeastern China. There are 2 major affluents, the Shilka River and the Ergune River and it flows 4,370 meters, visiting 3 the countries of Mongolia and Russia, into Okhotsk Sea bypassing the Tatarskiy Proliv. The Yellow river basin has an abundance of mineral resources and fish stocks, especially Salmon and Huang Fish.
  • Pearl River was earlier called Canton River. It flows in south China and is 2,197 km long. The Pearl River is an extensive river system, including the West River, North River, East River and rivers of the Pearl River Delta. Because of the high annual rainfall in its basin, the Pearl River moves 336 billion cubic meters of water every year.
  • Lancang River is 2139 km long. On Asian maps you will read the name Mekong River before its enters China. It crosses the Jifu Mountains, Zaduo County of Qinghai Province, flowing through Qinghai, Tibet and Yunnan. The Lanchang-Mekong River is home to many different fish and waterlife.

  • Brahmaputra River is called Yaluzangbujiang in China and has a lenght of 2057 km in China. It starts from the Angsi Glacier of the northern side of the Himalayas in Burang County of Tibet, breaks through the Himalayas in great gorges. The Brahmaputra Valley is know for its beauty.
  • Tarim River is with 2030 km the longest inland river in China. The famous Silk road depended on its waters. Called the principal river of the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, it was formed by 3 rivers, the Aksu River rises in Mt. Tianshan, the Yarkant River originates in Karakorum Mountains and the Hotan River. The great Tarim Basin between the Tian Shan and Kunlun Mountains systems of Central Asia got its name from the river. In ancient Turkic language, Tarim means 'water in the desert'.

  • Nujiang River has a second name: Salween River and is 2013 km long. Nujiang River begins on the southern slope of the Tanggula Mountain Range in Tibet, then flows through the western part of Yunnan, reaching the border of China and Burma. In Burma the Salween River flows for another 1227 km till pours into the Andaman Sea in Southeast Asia.
  • Songhuajiang River has a lenght of about 1900 km and is the largest tributary of the Heilongjiang River of northeast China. Dense primary forests scattered along both sides of the river. Wood, mineral resources, especially gold, copper and coal are harvested in its river basin.
  • Our last river, the Han River / Hanshui River feeds our first river, because it is the longest tributary of Yangtze River and has a length of 1532 km. It becomes one with the Yangtze at Wuhan in Hubei Province.

Science Biology, Chemistry, Physics: water full of energy, necessary for life as we know it- update nature education shows you the big picture
- Why does all life on Earth depend on water?
- Why are the oceans salty?
- Why Water is a very special 'juice'?
- Humans can live without food for weeks, but
- without water we will die after 3 days.
- Why do Humans use huge amounts of water to produce electricity?
- Is salt-water more heavy?
- Why can water dissolve so many substances?
- Does water expand when it gets warmer?

BSB offers Conservation education online!

Think about and see how wonderful our Earth was created..
Learn to understand Nature having a better life!
BSB wants to give many humans a real desire for true sustainability.
Work with us to implement systems that are NOT taking away quality of life, or survival from future generations!

It would be so easy:
When we duplicate the success of Earth's natural ecosystems we can secure the future of humans on Earth!
We care for humans, so we need to care for our water!
We express this task with our motto Keep Earth beautiful

Albert Einstein once said:
"We still do not know one thousandth of one percent of what nature has revealed to us."

Hear and feel the wonders of Earth

Peter Bonenberger + Marianne Bonenberger provide fun-filled multimedia lectures about earth's natural environment BSB Science conservation education presented by Bear Springs Blossom Master Conservationist: Updated nature education + environmental studies: A Master Conservationist studies biology, physics, chemistry to understand what happens in nature, understands water issues, knows nature conservation, water education about water pollution, knows how to change climate change, how the human body, the blood circle works, what greenhouses gases do to nature, and he spreads the word how to save Earth for the next human generation. To save Earth an updated conservation education is necessary. Outreach with online distant learning and lectures, giving the possibilities to save Earth, to allow our children and grandchildren a secure and healthy life on Earth. BSB Master conservationists: Education with certificate learning how to put ratio over emotion to solve problems like changing climate, greenhouse gases, deforestation, air pollution, water contamination, water conservation, soil erosion, urban sprawl, population growth, depletion of natural resources. BSB Master Conservationists give help, give presentations to all audiences, advice on environmental issues. Becoming a master conservationist gives knowledge to be a land conservationist, Nature conservationist, environmentalist, protecting creation Educators Peter and Marianne Bonenberger, volunteers, guest lecturers, presenters of Nature related topics giving a lecture. Environmental education for children + adults

引述大自然
Spain offers little to inform people how to keep earth beautiful - - - Indonesia cuts down a lot of trees. Missing nature conservation education leads to deforestation, water contamination, erosion problems because of deforestation, endangering marine life and humans - - - China has a growing population, more energy, more food, nature conservation education is very low on the to do list - - - India is a country full of potential. With a better education system and less corruption India could become number 1 in Asia - - - German schools offer conservation education, but a lot of people are too busy to learn new things

Look deep, deep into Nature, and You will understand everything better - Albert Einstein

Better in-depth knowledge helps us preserve
and not to destroy Earth - as we know it -

A good environmental education helps us to understand Nature
and to deal with coming changes + challenges.
